BAKU, May 8, 2008 – Today, within the framework of “10 YEARS TOGETHER” anniversary campaign FINCA Azerbaijan held a Press Conference on the occasion of reaching 80,000 Active Clients and launching of its new website www.fincaazerbaijan.com.

Jeff Flowers, the Country Director of FINCA Azerbaijan announced that, last week FINCA Azerbaijan had reached the number of 80,000 active clients with over $ 55,000,000 portfolio outstanding. According to the outstanding portfolio, FINCA Azerbaijan is the leader among the affiliates of the FINCA International. According to the global league tables from the Microfinance Information Exchange Inc, FINCA Azerbaijan is among the TOP 100 MFI’s in the world. 
The following statements were also stressed in the press conference: “FINCA Azerbaijan was founded in 1998. Since then, FINCA Azerbaijan has grown to become the leading non-bank credit organization in Azerbaijan with national operations covering 23 branches and 30 satellite offices serving 55 regions of the country. FINCA Azerbaijan is a non-bank credit organization, operating under limited license from the National Bank of Azerbaijan, providing micro-credit to clients across Azerbaijan. FINCA Azerbaijan is an affiliate of the FINCA International, a network of microfinance institutions operating in 22 countries around the world. Also FINCA Azerbaijan is one of the leading employers in the country currently employing 653 people.”

FINCA Azerbaijan will celebrate its 10 year anniversary under the name of “10 YEARS TOGETHER” on June 28, 2008. Therefore, the organization has scheduled a series of events.
